Pastoral Search Update

Overview: We want to congratulate our previous pastor, Dr. Mark Lail, on his position as Director of Stewardship Ministries of the Church of the Nazarene at Nazarene headquarters in Kansas City.  Over the past several months the board has been diligently pursuing a new senior pastor for our church. 

May 10^th: On May 10th the Fishcreek members stayed after the service to vote on a pastoral candidate.  This candidate was our own Pastor John Beers who has been serving our church for the past 12 years with great enthusiasm and willingness.  The vote was a positive one with the membership asking Pastor Beers to serve as our official head pastor.  Pastor Beers had accepted this calling and is looking forward to serving the church and the surrounding area.

During the district assembly in May at Canton First Church of the Nazarene, Pastor Beers received his ministerial license in the Church of the Nazarene.  Also Dr. Downs, our district superintendent, attended our church on May 24th.  During this time he conducted an installation service for Pastor Beers as an official welcoming of his service to our church.  Please join us as we grow under the spiritual leadership of Pastor Beers.
