![]() Our camping trip was a blast--even though it was a little wet! Thanks to all who helped or donated supplies! The Nazarene Caravan Program Wednesdays 6:30PM - 8:00PM. (Sept.-May) Caravaners are children on a journey. It is not a journey of packed suitcases and leaving home. It is a journey in which children learn... about themselves ...about their world ...about other people ...about their church ...about God!
The Caravan scouting journey takes place each Wednesday evening (during the school year) at Fishcreek Nazarene Worship Center. Under the direction of an adult guide and helpers, children learn skills and abilities to help them develop as God planned -- physically, socially, mentally, and spiritually. Each child's journey and accomplishment is marked by earning badges that are displayed on their official Caravan uniform. Caravan was started by the Church of the Nazarene in 1946. While the uniform, badges, and other aspects of Caravan have changed over the years, the purpose hasn't changed. Caravan is still designed to minister to the whole child -- physically, socially, mentally, and spiritually. Caravan finds its purpose from Luke 2:52 -- "And Jesus increased in wisdom [mentally] and stature [physically], and in favor with God [spiritually] and man [socially]."
